An early-morning 3.3-magnitude earthquake woke up the San Francisco Bay Area in California, the U.S. Geological Survey reported. The 4-mile deep quake hit 6 miles northeast of Morgan Hill at 1:32 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 12, according to the USGS. More than 200 people from as far away as Glendale and El Dorado Hills reported feeling the tremor to the agency. 'Anyone feel that earthquake near Morgan Hill area?' asked one post on Twitter, now rebranded as X. Morgan Hill is about 70 miles southeast of San Francisco.
